Asbestos awareness for tradesmen

The Health & Safety Executive is working to raise awareness amongst tradesmen that they could be at risk from exposure due to asbestos. During February and March 2008 a campaign will be rolled out to target building maintenance and repair workers (e.g. electricians, plumbers and carpenters and joiners) using the theme 'You are more at risk than you think!

Howell Shone Insurance Brokers Warn Motorists Not To Become a Victim Of Summer Car Crime

With the hot weather set to continue, local insurance broker Howell Shone is alerting local motorist to be on their guard. They are concerned that there could be a dramatic increase in the number of cars being stolen as owners leave their vehicles unattended with their windows or roofs open. The Newcastle-under-Lyme broker is warning motorists that by failing to take precautions to secure their vehicles, their insurance policies could be invalidated if either their car or items inside are stolen.
